“Yoga is the journey of the self, through the self, to the self “
– The Bhaghavad Gita
I have been practicing yoga for 17 years and my practice has grown and changed over the years, as I have. As a nurse I have a passion for holistic health care and yoga has always felt like a natural fit and an incredible tool to aid in healing the body during illness, injury and stress. As a Mother, I have experienced the incredible journey a woman’s body goes through during pregnancy, birth and post natally. I hold my Postnatal Yoga classes close to my heart as I love creating a safe and supportive place for new Mothers to come with their babies to reconnect with themselves and with fellow woman who are in the same stage of life.
I teach a gentle-paced Hatha yoga that has a more natural flow to nourish the body, create space for the mind and peace for the spirit. As yoga is continuous practice, so is life and the various challenges that come our way, yoga allows us support and strength during the ups and downs of life. Offering individuals space to connect inward, create mental space and learn tools of self-love to translate into daily life, is the biggest reward of all.
What I love the most is the versatility, creativity and freedom of yoga. From creating a yoga sequence based on the energy of the room, the season, the health needs of the yoga students to astrological events, yoga is full of exciting possibilities for anyone who wishes to awaken their full potential and to enjoy a richer live with an ever-changing and growing depth of practice.
